Guelph has two of our favourite restaurants of all time and this is one of them. The other is below. The Carden Street Café is a colourful vibrant mainstay that serves up delicious curries and other ethnic dishes from different regions. But unlike other places that try to spread themselves all over the map and end up with bland versions of too many cuisines, Carden creates its own take on popular dishes and succeeds every time. Try the cilantro curry in a roti, the asian stir-fry and the mango mousse. Salads are primo and the sweet potato, spinach soup is outstanding. Live music also abounds in this restaurant and it is also known as a community gathering place.
